Premier Theatre Company: Next To Normal
The Premier Theatre Company will present the Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning musical Next To Normal, March 23-April 1, at the new Premier Room at The Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel, located at 1401 Ocean Avenue, in Asbury Park.
Next To Normal will be live on stage, for 6 performances only.

Sunday, March 25th at 2pm
Friday, March 30th at 8pm
Saturday 31st at 8pm
Sunday, April 1st at 2pm.
Next to Normal is a musical with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt. Its story concerns a mother who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder and the effect that her illness has on her family.
The musical was nominated for eleven 2009 Tony Awards and won three, Best Original Score, Best Orchestration and Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for Alice Ripley. It also won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, becoming just the eighth musical in history to receive the honor.

On Sunday, March 25 I went to see Premier Theatre’s – Next to Normal in the Premier Room at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel. It was directed by the very talented and always smiling Mark Fleming. From the minute the play opened, you were invited into the psychological drama of the Goodman Family’s home. You were emotionally attached to each character and on the edge of your seat hoping it all works out. When the lights came up for intermission, I couldn’t speak or move – not knowing what was to come. The actors Mary Lawrence, Ryan John Sabatos and company are fantasticly believable. Don’t miss out on this one!!
